Sweet Charity is the charity for the UK confectionery industry. We care about individuals and their families who contribute to our industry and we are determined to support them in a friendly, professional and practical way when they need help.  We help by providing practical, emotional and sometimes financial support to past and present employees from the confectionery industry, and we have been doing so since 1918.

We are wholly funded and supported by the confectionery industry. Our trustees are senior figures from the confectionery and FMCG trade. Members of the industry sit on our area committees, up and down the country. These committees organise fundraising events for us, as well as raising awareness of the charity. Other members support our volunteer visitor programme, and enjoying meeting retired beneficiaries of the charity. We receive corporate and individual donations from people from our trade and our largest annual fundraising event, the Candy Ball, sees over 700 members of the industry coming together to support us.
