150 members of the trade gathered for the London Area Committee’s Candy Rocks Party held at the iconic Hard Rock Café on Old Park Lane. The new style event surpassed expectations raising over £8K for Sweet Charity, a record for the London Area Committee. Kate Harding, Area Chairman said “We are thrilled with the amount raised and would like to thank everyone for their support. We felt the time was right to move away from the traditional black tie event, and organise a less formal party to raise money instead. The event was attended by a cross section of the trade including manufactures, suppliers, wholesalers, members of the trade press and industry agencies, who all gathered to raise funds for the charity of the confectionery’s industry, Sweet Charity.
