Need Help?
Criteria
How do you qualify for support?
We offer telephone advice on practical and welfare issues to people working within the confectionery industry. If you are working for a manurfacturer, wholesaler or retailer where confectionery is a core category, and you need help or advice then do call us on 0207 404 5222.
If you have more than 5 years service in the confectionery industry, and have low savings and income, one of our trained welfare officers will make a home visit. They will assess your situation and will give expert advice and may recommend that we give you additional support, which could include one-off forms of financial assistance.
If you have more than 10 years service we may provide additional support to you.
We may also support partners and dependents, depending on your circumstances.
The confectionery industry
We consider the confectionery industry to include retailing, wholesaling and manufacturing, where chocolate and sweet confectionery is a core business category. This could include working in a sweet shop or, more broadly, in a corner shop, convenience store, CTN, forecourt or even an ice cream van.
Service
The service you have does not need to be continuous, or even with the same employer. However you will need to provide evidence of your service history.
If you think you could be eligible, then you will need to apply to us.
