Who We Are
Sweet Charity is the charity for the confectionery industry. We have been supporting industry employees and their dependents since 1918. We believe in looking after those who have served our industry when they need support.
What we do
We provide practical and emotional support to past and present employees from the confectionery industry and aim to help make their lives a bit easier.
How we help
We offer relevant care, support and resources to make lives a bit easier. By:

Who we help
We offer a range of services to people and their families from the confectionery industry. In particular we can provide help to people:
- In unexpected circumstances
- If sick or disabled
- Throughout retirement
We consider the confectionery industry to cover the following areas, where confectionery is a core part of the business:
- Manufacturing
- Wholesaling
- Retailing (including independent retailers, CTN stores, convenience stores, and ice cream sellers).
How we work
Sweet Charity provides services through:
- A national team of professional, experienced welfare officers who visit our beneficiaries throughout the UK and provide advice over the phone
- A team of nationwide volunteers who visit beneficiaries regularly and assess their changing needs
- A central team who manage all enquiries and provide advice and support in conjunction with the welfare officers
- A network of industry volunteers who raise awareness of the services available to employees at all levels
